Either the impossibilities will stay still long enough for you to start catching up, or they'll keep growing fast enough that even those people can't keep pace. Not sure which is good and which is bad. 
I don't really know anything anymore except that various impossible things have happened and that I am therefore at the mercy of people who believe in impossible things.
