Like we could do some contortions and say that like children provide psychological value to adults via their domination/relationship in various forms, and it wouldn't be false, but like... why fucking bother? Why not just fucking address the power relationship directly?

Parents have the the most probable strong incentives to care about their kids. In theory, parents should be like personal advocates, agents, or the like. It could be handled by contract law maybe, but since nobody consents to be born there are problems with that. Other reasons.

Genuinely think this will be a moot point in 50-100 years when large scale computer simulations are possible, because then you can find the conditions of consent through non-conscious simulation before inception.
