      Exactly this. This line of argument is really just a confused reformation of "Can't we all just move on?" No. We can't. The shit our ancestors did happened and a lot of it is still happening. If that's a bit awkward for you/me/us white people, so be it.

      To be clear, slavery is still happening in the world, but not in the West. Colonialism is still happening in the world, but not in the West (China 👀). Patriarchy is still happening in the world, but not in the West. Institutional homophobia is still happening, not in the West.

      Alright, that's fair. I guess the entirety of the institutions I don't like could engage in pederasty and it still wouldn't immediately answer what percentage of total pederasty was engaged in by those institutions, so thank you for dispelling my confusion.
