When Ice People use their white supremacist science to oppose the global warming that would let brown people thrive in northern latitudes, it doesn't get criticized as much as you might think.
Snowpiercer is literally about Ice People destroying the world by overcompensating for global warming, and the subsequent consequences for brown people (as played on screen mostly by whites and asians). Perhaps this is why it did poorly.
