Nothing, but if it did it would just be a recurrence sequence that arbitrarily expanded and contracted by exponents of 2. What it's asserting is something to do with cosmology/cosmogony I guess: that everything came from nothing and subsequently expands to ? and contracts to one
Starting condition zero switch on big number switch off one switch on big number switch off one, etc. Not necessarily the same big number every time.
