What I'm doing is very much proto-scientific at best. Time will tell what the real answers are.
I mean Japan also had a completely separate evolution of a feudal system but it didn't undergo exactly the same evolution as the west. Rational tools never became rationalism. Just sort of spitballing here, feel free to correct me or whatever.
