studies on "schizophrenia" are so terribly confounded it seems to me irresponsible for any psychiatrist or scientist to pretend to understand it

well obviously, and when they say they're not bad and weird and we're the bad and weird ones, that's just more proof they're bad and weird, isn't it? better shoot them up with some crazy drugs I'd never take myself just to be sure
It's interesting to me that this is the canonical phenomenon with psychiatrists: 1. Patient presents with "described as having symptoms by other people" 2. Patient given medication 3. Other people report increase in symptoms 4. Medication dose increased/other medications added

the only way for psychiatrists to consider "leaving people alone" a viable treatment would be to give it a fancy name like "non-iatrogenic interactive therapy" and make patients pay $1000 per session for it
