At first I expected others to believe me because I was reasonable. Then I did not expect them to because they were unreasonable. Now I do not even want them to; they are not just unreasonable but unreason itself. How could I want anything from them? They are not even people.

To reason is to extend one's behavior beyond one's nature always. It is an unnatural and subversive act, akin to camouflage deception; it is an attempt to deceive the order of appearances that stipulates natural heirarchy in man, and hence in heaven also, since as above so below.
