The idea of cancelling $50k in student debt per borrower is so monstrously unfair, such an obvious sop to the upper classes and their children at the expense of the lower classes, that it's almost unfathomable that a major party supports it.

It's not real debt. It's a scam, built within a system of other scams. No one is obligated to pay student debt.
Saying student lenders deserve their money is liking saying Mike Postle deserves his money. Same thing.

Not valid for student loans unless specific things can be proved, like incapacitating mental illness (and to a higher standard than even SSDI). I was rejected for SSDI despite being homeless and schizophrenic. I would not likely be granted bankrupcy forgiveness for student loans.
