The idea of cancelling $50k in student debt per borrower is so monstrously unfair, such an obvious sop to the upper classes and their children at the expense of the lower classes, that it's almost unfathomable that a major party supports it.
I went to college in large part because I was homeless and needed the money to live. I majored in STEM subjects and earned high marks. Still can't find work. Don't see why I should be punished for the actual upper classes, who don't take on debt and get jobs through connections.

There are already programs that help borrowers such as yourself manage their debts, by capping payments at a certain percentage of income.
