I really hope there is not any ability to influence because if there was I would feel obligated to remain in the hell worlds for the sake of trying to make things better or lead people out of them.

Do you consider the world you're in to be a hell world?

Also, as far as I can tell this model doesn't have real implications for what one should do. It makes nearly all the same predictions as one would make otherwise. I've continued thinking about it because it seems underexplored in the literature and I might be missing something.

These sort of thoughts attract cranks, con-artists, and people with mental health issues You try to bring them up with most analytic philosophers or physicists and they direct you to learn the basics of their field and stonewall there, regardless of your credentials or knowledge

You may be interested in the introduction to this: https://www.docdroid.net/AJdc73v/a-dragons-guide-to-magick-pdf … It was my attempt to practice Amor Fati by causing the metaphysical circumstances of my own existence. I don't actually want this to happen but I'm contingently willing for it to happen. (Warning: ads)

I don't think the probability of future ancestor simulations that preserve identity is high enough for that to have a significant impact. Although I'm not quite following the argument, I'm assuming you're making the obvious argument based on the list of assumptions.

I don't think they preserve identity, just continuity of consciousness. I think of future ancestor simulations as something like a comb running through hair over and over again. "Straightening it out" to some standard or other, destroying the knots.

I don't actually want an entirely different phenomenological experience, but if the advanced statistical methods of the future aren't sufficient to achieve fidelity (which I don't think they will be) then I want something like this instead.

I want representation in matters of my own existence.

I'm not sure there's a difference between continuity and identity.

That's fine. I don't use them interchangeably though
