The literalism of Christianity requires accepting Christ as God, not as metaphor for some weird game theory thing.

Honestly though the instrumental value of Christ as an absolute line in the sand that only an absolute fool or sociopath would cross is probably more useful than the concept of Christ's divinity. Similar concept to the Mithraic ritual, challenging the gods, etc, but unintentional

Useful senses of Christ in order: 1. Line in the sand 2. Honeypot for unintelligent sociopaths 3. Metaphor for forgiveness 4. Metaphor for sacrifice 5. Schelling point and reverse Schelling point

It genuinely makes more sense to imagine the offer of immortality for belief in Christ as a ticket to hell than as a ticket to heaven, because who the fuck thinks a deal like that makes sense and is ethical? Evil people, right?

Honestly just think God is easily confused if some magician can walk up to him and claim to be his son. Neat magick trick though for sure.
