Yes but in the longer run we all die of global warming, aliens find our corpses, and reconstruct and simulate us based on a combination of logical deduction and statistical interpolation barely more advanced than Nate Silver's.
So EVEN IF I am tortured in a human made simulation for k-large time there will eventually be a bizarre mutilated reinterpretation of me that enjoys the implicit blessing of our alien archeologist benefactors.
