I spent my twenties bouncing from location to location as a poor punk, deliberately shedding possessions. I retain very little from my childhood. The tattered copy of Jurassic Park I learned to read with, some photos, The Hard SF Renaissance, some patches, & some star wars cards.

That's a lot of continuity. I think the oldest surviving thing I have is my surface pro 3 with a cracked screen that I bought with college loan money in 2015. Some things that are currently entrusted to others with indefinite possibility of recovery are perhaps older but yeah.

One of the things I did while I was drifting was write a lot and entrust my journals to random people. But my graphomania went away as soon as I settled down, started working, and apparently recovered from whatever mental health issues I had. Wonder if they've even been read.
