In my case I got into Chaos Magick for its explanatory value: it made schizophrenia symptoms make "sense".

Voice in my head = physical OR psychological OR metaphysical (inclusive). Basically allowed me to fluidly move between "this is all bullshit", "this has deeper significance to who I am", and "this has external significance" fluidly, treating them all as equivalent in some sense.
