Markets don't work because people like markets and people don't win games because they like the idea of winning. But of course these things are preconditions to a certain extent.
Leftists think justice, in a debits and credits sense, should be the cornerstone of society, while the right thinks victory should be the cornerstone of society. Sort of self solving, but the problem of the right is that identifying with a value neutral process isn't a real value

The left calculus on debits/credits also gets confounded easily by any rhetorically persuasive invocation of the infinite. Since this is rarely God, it tends instead to be the (perceived) destruction of (a perceived) authenticity: authenticity becoming the new God, equally vague
