I just realized that a chunk of chuds probably *sincerely* believe that removing statues is about erasing history, because they don't read or inquire and thus experience statues as one of the only ways they're informed or reminded of historical figures and events.

Like to us a statue is an expression of power endorsing a specific valuation of a side to historical struggles. A statue to Hitler is an endorsement and celebration of him. But to some dipshits a statue is like the only time they learn or are reminded that Hitler existed.

Why not just sell burnable effigies of historical figures on historically important dates? You could have constant burnings year round. You get all the same historical reminiscence for these people, plus participation, and it would probably go well with barbecuing.

I mean after all, statues put history into the commons, even in a small way, and the AnCap way is to destroy and privatize the commons whenever possible. Effigies are to statues what Amazon is to libraries. MAMMON! MAMMON SHALL RULE!

I watched Tower recently and it was pointed out that statues make good sniper cover though, so maybe we should, uhh, keep some Modern Art around of the large meaningless block of metal variety for this purpose.
