The problem with grievance narratives besides this is that they extend anecdotal and individual grievances into class grievances. There's a kind of free rider problem at work, and a problem of getting more of what you subsidize.
You can't sort the authentic grievances from the false ones once they have metastasized into an intersubjective narrative. Similar problem with trans tenders as with BLM. "We've been injured" is like "we're pregnant"; "You took away everything, even the evidence you took it away"
I think about this a lot, because there have to be cases where it's true. I am deeply invested in better systems of sorting wheat from chaff. To get them we have to find ways to trick the lying chaff into telling on itself though.
