      been called a sophist a couple times in memory, once in a more friendly fashion and once less so, and in the latter case i didn't really know what they were trying to say about me besides "you don't think the same things are important as i do" so i poked around the concept a bit

      and it seems like all you really need to do is consider the truth value of propositions to be context-dependent (or possibly to consider truth values between 0 and 1 to exist). and it's like, damn, son, that's where we're gonna draw the line on this big-ass snarl word?

      A proper statement indeed has a 0 or 1 truth value, but outside very restrictive contexts it's impossible to make a properly proper statement.
