All serious games are iterated. Money is a serious game. Money is iterated. Unless you have enough money to use on subsequent iterations of the game it doesn't matter how much you have, you lose by the nature of the game.

There is such a thing as pathological poverty, but it is not the universal explanation of poverty. Giving money to the poor is inherently inflationary mostly because the poor have no leverage by which to maintain the value of their money. You need to have "money behind"
