How do you determine who is hurting the most as opposed to who is complaining the loudest?

Pain doesn't have to be rational. I remember reading a study that said more people commit suicide due to daily inconvenience like back problems than due to traumatic events like the loss of a loved one. In practice, what's "worse" is just whatever one lacks the tools to deal with

And autoimmune disorders in general. Inflammation of the brain and body does some terrible things.
