I don't believe in belief. I'm a knowledge and strategy engine hooked up to an animal. I don't "have beliefs". I have knowledge and generate strategies based on that knowledge.

High-status people can afford to make unfashionable utterances as a show of strength (and to help clear the noosphere of pollution). This says nothing about whether being an advocate for those views will help you in your situation.
