Let's be blunt: Religion and spirituality are mostly a playground for social predation. The effectiveness of social predation depends on IQ dynamics. Christianity was basically conceived of as "sustainable predation": A system with mutual obligations rather than a free for all

The solution isn't "more religion" btw, it's a specific type of religion, and it isn't necessarily to police it into being, it will happen naturally if you have the right proportions of people in proximity to each other.
