Literally the only thing I've ever witnessed the police in my city doing is giving out traffic tickets and harassing homeless people for no reason. The only people who like them are the people who want homeless people harassed.

They don't harass homeless people for "no reason", they harass homeless people to make the consequences of refusing wage slavery even more horrifying for the precariat who still have homes.
