This is why I don't think "better" systems of controlling or incentivizing people will work. The people either need to adopt new value systems or be biologically modified to have their axioms changed so they can only produce good value systems.
When I say "good" I mean "The value system I support is non contradictory and self sustaining" Humans as we know them now might not think they are "good" from some "moral" perspective and there is a lot of popular sci-fi literature that discusses a form of this.
