People think modernity creates a God of the gaps, who is gradually being erased. But it is really all forms of human discernment that are being erased. The traditionalists desperately cry out "It has purpose!" as efficiency and utility rewrite the true names of reality. AI laughs

Nothing is being erased. The flaws in eternalistic dualism were always there. We've merely ceased to kill or ostracise those whose utterances make them clear.
Nothing ontological is being erased perhaps. Quite a bit phenomenological is being erased though (and really, since the phenomenological reduces to the ontological in all likelihood, different types of language use correspond to different types of being)
