If you think forcing people to use neologisms like "zir" is "human rights activism", much less a human right on par with bread and butter issues like a basic social safety net or freedom from direct violence by the state, you seriously need to get a clue.
Than a token law which by social consensus is never enforced? Well, for instance, if I took it upon myself to kill people who torture trans children, perhaps the law that would punish me for doing so could be ignored in the same way the laws which are supposed to protect me are.
