The bigger problem is food deserts: places where 7-11 or equivalent are the only place to get food for a person without a car. And the bus will probably shut down in most places, so it really will be 7-11 or nothing in a lot of places.
When I was homeless, 7-11 was part of what kept me alive because I had nowhere to cook. Otherwise I just would have been eating beans, chic peas, canned ravioli and so forth.
