I believe there are aspects of reality, analogous to and probably derived from physical or mathematical laws, that afford only a limited amount of leeway in terms of social and economic systems. Therefore short of metaphysical rebellion, impractical advocacy serves no purpose.

Good argument. I didn't say there wasn't leeway though, only that there was a limited amount. Hence why attempted implementations of communism in the past all deviate more severely from their ideal than implementations of capitalism do from theirs.

I haven't read Adam Smith, or for that matter any of the classical economists.

I am not familiar with mondragon, or much socialist literature or thought. Anarcho-capitalism is aspirational for me. I think a number of fundamental technological and social developments would have to happen to make it remotely tenable. Presently, all systems tend to corruption.
