One underappreciated source of IQ disdain among the elite is that it comes close to being an objective measure of things the elite are said to exist for the sake of discerning. The elite are in a sense "justified" by their capacity for calculation and discernment.
But really this applies to anything that's a good measure of relevant characteristics: degrees, SAT scores, etc. The elite hate them because they make them, the elite, redundant. As science progresses we get something like a "bourgeoisie of the gaps", and the gaps are closing.
Thus we can expect more and more ridiculous outbursts against effective measurements of man, to the extent they are effective. Because it's not about creating value for most, it's about being in control, and the best way to assert control is to do things that can't be justified.
