Think getting my gut health fixed surgically might have solved some mental health problems too, though it's pretty early to suppose that. Haven't felt any of the normal trepidation or delusions for the past few days though. They've lost verisimilitude.

I think most mental health problems originate in the gut as cross-talk between microbes and immune cells that affect the brain - not surprised it helped you. Another thing you could try is diet change. Zero carb diet, no veggie oils, lots of beef, helps too. See

Swapping out nearly all unsaturated fat for saturated has helped my mind indescribably. Turns out human neural synapses need human neural fats - not plant ones. Nearly every modern dogma about human dietary health is BS. And I'm mad it takes a PhD of expertise to see thru the BS.
