Why even have an SAT if you're just going to use statistical group differences to condemn even those who score well on it?

What's the point of pointing out average group differences except to encourage policy decisions? And wouldn't such policy decisions undermine opportunity for outliers, including via the very mechanisms that reveal group differences (and therefore individual excellence)?

A lot of other things would need to be established before it could be called wasteful imho. But that's probably not a conversation for twitter.
