The game theory concerns that result from sharing finite reality with other sentiences stipulate that every sound survival strategy has to be high EV low equity. All survival and flourishing is provincial, localized to a pocket of improbability that eventually collapses.
Probability engenders improbability, and improbability periodically forms ladders that can be climbed to gain relative height before they collapse. If there are absolute ladders they cannot be climbed because everyone scrambling to climb the improbability ladders get in the way.
