Alright so, my thought process is basically this: There are more functions to jobs than just productivity. Not even getting into the question of "productivity towards what?" (which is an inherently authoritarian question but not necessarily a bad one). There's status, dignity etc
Pre-singularity you could say that productivity is everything, because you're basically talking about achieving infinite utility in a closing opportunity window.But that's still just an opinion. Post-singularity, productivity is basically irrelevant because it's always infinite.
I have said before that it is more important to me that the best person gets the job than anything else including the survival of the human species, and I meant that.
