If your guns are stolen, 1 or 2 are taken, not 20. Also you can buy 20 and give them to your friends who potentially can’t own or sell to people that can’t buy. Also barrels get hot and jam, that’s why its better to have 20 guns in the hotel situation. There’s a few reasons.
Would make more sense and be less of an infringement to mandate safe storage for all guns than to limit the number of guns a person can purchase.

I feel that more even invasive honestly, Japan does this, a police official has to come to the house and make sure you have a safe for the weapon I believe. This would be great.
