Is auto liability insurance, bonded contractors, or small business liability insurance all "tribalism"?
They're barriers to entry/ownership/use, which fall under the header of protectionism, which inherently favors people with money. So I'll say it's tribalistic in a very specific and limited sense and probably only incidentally as well.
You see no useful functions of them then?
