The people who think capitalism has existed forever and is the natural state of humanity are hilarious. As if the hunter gatherers had to pay part of their meat to the dude who owned the hunting ground, and more in rent to the guy who owned the land their tent was on.
Choice may not be limited by a person's facticity, but there's still a context in which consciousness appears, and another context in which it acts. The latter needn't be called human nature at all. It can be called the collection of physical, mathematical, and economic law.
