A martian bildungsroman set against the backdrop of a war between humans and dragons, triggered by a dragon plague that renders dragons mortal, and lead by an ersatz "Freedonian" Napoleon. A young street kid named Thomas learns from a Feuergeist spec ops dragon enforcer

No chance. I learned I was part-dragon after having some dreams centered around a rift-walking Scythian Enaree who was part dragon and also ambiguously me from which I subsequently studied and found a lineage between Dragons -> Scythians -> Transsexuals. And that's just the start

Per Herodotus, the Scythians give an origin myth as having been born out of the congress of Hercules and a woman who was half-serpent. Melusine is another half-serpent woman who later turned into a dragon. Enarees give their origin as a heriditary curse from Aphrodite. Slam dunk.
