Let's suppose the sci-fi/technocratic conceit of ancestor simulations is going to come to fruition. Rather than simplifying the administration of social justice, it would seem to me that it makes its application fundamentally impossible in all the cases that actually matter. 1/
So it seems to me that the future is fundamentally hell, in this sense. But the objection could also be generalized to the concept of heaven or an afterlife in general. 6/

And this is why I am such a hateful creature, and why despite a universalist upbringing, I now long for the existence of hell even if I myself have to burn in it. Though I would never suggest anyone has the right to create/enforce hell, as a metaphysical doctrine it soothes me 8/
