    However, after all recent laws to subjugate internet and freedom of speech, it's hard to believe Russia's is able to make user friendly regulations. It's rather one more step to a greater state control over information. 4/4

    Seems like, Russia is joining a global trend in making social networks more transparent. Just yesterday, US Democratic lawmakers proposed to make social networks legally responsible for personalized recommendations of harmful content to users. 3/4

    Given ’s actions in recent days, I suppose it was only a matter of time. YouTube has often operated under its own moderation logic. But not this time - and this does not bode well for alternative voices, who rely on it extensively in this case.
