I can’t stress this enough, these mass shooting don’t happen in other countries. Clearly the laws in place aren’t working. Perhaps we should implement stricter gun control laws.

Also I personally would love to see people having to have insurance on their guns, since they constantly want to compare them to cars. That monthly bill might influence them to think twice if they actually need a strong weapon or if they need multiple.

I’d add needing to have a doctor stamped psychological approval before being able to buy and having to get an evaluation twice a year after purchase at least.

State of Illinois does have laws as you mentioned. The city of Chicago has some of the highest murders rate in U.S. 542 (2018), 664(2017), 781 (2016). Improvements in mental health care, advance education opportunities, social economic reform. It’s not strictly more gun laws.
