Copy and paste: I will say for the 1000th time - we NEED surveillance/security cameras blanketing the city. EVERY time there's an incident, SFPD is looking for video! For God's sake! Does no one care?! But we have Prop A - $250M for renovation of open spaces.

What good are surveillance images when there's a catch and release program?

While I agree with you, we need to stay positive and continue to take the right course of action. Things will change...often, it has to get worse before it gets better...
@chesaboudin days are limited. In the meantime, let's get the cameras out there.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Cameras don't stop crime when theirs mask mandates. Are you going to get a facial recognition hit on someone in a hoodie and face mask? Whose going to snitch when they know where you live? Whose willing to defend their property when SF is gun grabber control hell worse than NJ?

They do when you can track from block to block the offenders and put a BOLO out on their vehicle and license. Once you start prosecuting from video surveillance, it will be a major deterrent. It's just one piece of a comprehensive program.
