After a vegan sausage roll sends Piers Morgan into a meltdown, experts say it’s a good job he isn’t one of those easily-offended snowflakes he's always talking about.

Piers Morgan has called me a snowflake three times and yet I can look at a Gregg's vegan sausage roll and not get triggered. Strange.

Actually "let's not mutilate children's genitals for religious reasons" is a very sensible human rights argument. It's shocking how religious privilege has so normalized this form of child abuse and blinded some people's basic humanity.

The descriptions of censorship, narrow curricula, misinformation, unqualified teachers, inequity, incompetence and isolationism will be all too familiar to those who follow the subject of failing independent faith schools.

Not right to say that the threatening behaviour around College Green comes from 'extremes of both sides'. It doesn't. The Remainers there, no matter what you might think of their politics, have never threatened anyone.

The detail in this piece from is damning. The government knows the damage that funding a new wave of religiously selective faith schools will do. But it's planning to do it anyway. It must rethink.

The DfE acknowledge their new selective faith schools will disadvantage families, students and teachers who don't share the faith and harm community cohesion. But it's all legal and the schools pinky swear to be inclusive, so nothing to worry about.

Given that the ONLY reason for new VA schools is to allow 100% religious selection, it seems like a bizarre pantomime to make them pretend to be open to "pupils of all faiths and none". You might as well fund whites only schools, then ask them to be racially sensitive.

The DfE's own assessment says a wave of new selective faith schools in England will discriminate through their admissions, teaching and employment. It says they'll undermine social cohesion. The government must think again over its decision to fund them

Afraid to say this proves a point I have been making for a while - the UK’s human rights orgs just don’t see antismetism as a priority. It isn’t even on their radars.
