Come on, you act like open water in the Bering Sea is something new. I've lived there since the '50s, seen it many times before. There was very little snow or ice during the winter of 1970, for example.

Wind patterns R important 2 moving the ice around. Anyone attempting to take their yacht up that way now would easily die in the attempt.
