    Northbound New Seward Highway is CLOSED at Tudor Road due to the increased safety risk under the damaged girder. Pls use alternative north/south routes in order to avoid considerable delays at the Northbound Tudor Road exit.

    UPDATE: New Seward Highway NB lanes have CLOSED to all thru traffic due to safety concerns of the damaged girder. Please use alternative north/south corridors. This is in the interest safety to the highway users below. We will post more information as this situation develops.

    Bridge Strike UPDATE 1/3/19 10:30 a.m. Correction only ONE lane is open on the NEW SEWARD HIGHWAY. Two lanes are open on Tudor. Pls use alternative routes.

    DOT&PF Central Region's Right of Way section celebrated 15 yrs of fundraising & gift giving for the Adopt-a-Family holiday program. TY to everyone who donated to food boxes, cookie sales, chili feed & silent auction. ROW provided holiday gifts & warm winter gear for 17 families.

    New Year's Eve driving conditions are a little dicey out there, Alaska! Warmer temps are making some roads slick. If you plan to go out and celebrate tonight, make sure you have a designated driver! Don't take any chances on our winter roads.

    was 1" shy of the most snowfall in a ten-day period! Our operators are working all day & night, and they will work through the weekend and through Christmas to dig us all out. It won’t happen overnight, but we promise we will work continuously until it’s done.

    experiencing tough winter conditions with compacted snow & water over ice. Operators out since early using all avail equipment + sand + brine to clear roads. A mechanic was even pressed into plowing duty! Airport is open. Operators will keep working on roads late tonight.

    Storm dumped A TON of snow from Potter Marsh thru Turnagain Pass (3-4 FT in Turnagain Pass). Travel conditions are VERY difficult & snow continues to fall. Avalanche mitigation btwn Girdwood & Portage near MP 82 to 89 TODAY. Delays up to 45 min.
