Very interesting meeting with and discussing Disability Justice Project amongst other things. Interesting announcements coming up. Of course, I forgot the photo.

Nice lady generously let me off the bus first. As I left I heard her tell the driver "it's okay, I'll be old one day too". OMG

442 plastic pig sitting in the sidings at Clapham waiting for poor unsuspecting passengers, except wheelchair users who can't get on. Harrumph (autocorrect tells me harrumph has two Rs).

(1/2) That’s not good. While don’t have control of operations at station, we have written to SWR/NR raising access variability. For about a week lifts are still undergoing testing & only available while station is staffed. I have asked SWR/NR to add staff to cover period.

We have become the first transport operator in the country to adopt the new 'Any Disability Symbol' on board. This will be rolled out across our network. This has been driven by Grace Warnock who designed the sign following her own experiences

It's a pain in the bum, my friend said disabled people wouldn't be disabled if everything was accessible & easy to access or use we would just be someone living with an illness I think she's right it's apity everyone else doesn't have her attitude they might get things right

You can’t simulate physical barriers - suddenly using a wheelchair for a day is so *shocking* that you think being disabled must be AWFUL. It isn’t awful (not all of the time) but it can be very, very frustrating to have to make 10 phone calls before you can leave the house.

So, here’s the coaches carrying UK nationals from Wuhan. Not to panic anyone, but....The coach company is called Horseman, and there are four of them! The four Horseman of the apocalypse!!! 🤢

Only in Britain could you have four coaches from a company called ", Horseman" collecting people that could be carrying a pandemic type illness. Are they trolling us?

I can feel Hannah’s frustration leaking out of my phone. As an industry we can do miles better than this. Check out the Campaign For Level Boarding

Another day, another ramp that didn’t materialise. 3 out of 5 trips to London this week have resulted in this - me stuck on a empty train hoping that a kind stranger will alert the staff to bring a ramp. This is why we need for all trains and platforms.
