the cowardice of “i wasn’t there but...” is staggering. say it. say you think this young black man is a liar. look us in the eye and say it, don’t hide your true colours behind your “very good imagination,” or perceive politeness, or how hard working you think joss is. exhausting

You are erasing the voice of the abusee because this is someone you respect. Your speaking on behalf of his character directly denies the voice of another. Stop

And that is perfectly normal, you just shared your own personal experience with the guy, it might not be the same for everyone but it's your truth

you look like a clown defending your friend who has been accused with no evidence besides “he’s my friend, i know him” abusers hide the fact that they are abusers from the people close to them, so no one believes the victims until they are abused themselves.

I'm happy you have a great relationship with him. But abusers are great at hiding from friends, family, coworkers, even themselves. Your experience can be amazing while someone else's is abusive. Both truths can be true.

So what do you do? You double down. How about right now just listen and reach out to those who come forward? Also MAYBE your experience as a white male might be different then POC and women? Maybe they had different experiences, especially during a troubled shoot?
