    If this is anywhere near accurate, it is genocide pure and simple.

    About 500 000 of Ukrainians were deported to Russia for only 2 months. Some of them are on their way to labour camps like Gulag. Russians want to use them to build new cities in Siberia. Their passports taken away. Some of people managed to escape to the 3rd countries. /1

    Good morning! Impatiently waiting for intel on the 🇷🇺 army level command post reported as destroyed by 🇺🇦 artillery in Kherson region yesterday. Up to 50 🇷🇺senior brass was in there including the army CoC, according to UA prez adviser.

    Do any IHL lawyers know why Ukraine hasn't yet ratified the Rome Statute? Shouldn't it do so ASAP to bring Russian war crimes committed in Ukraine within the ICC's jurisdiction, even if only on a prospective basis? ?

    I'm quite curious if the entire left/right-wing "realist" commentariat would be calling in 1942 for an end of Lend-Lease because sending tanks and airplanes to UK and USSR only prolongs the inevitable German victory and civilian suffering.

    He might not. I, on the other hand, fwiw, do. The UK’s reputation as an upholder of the Rule of Law and abiding by its self-entered into legally binding agreements is more important now than anytime in my lifetime. It’s not a plaything. We are temporary guardians of it
