Twitter has been doing that with user accounts, not replies; that user is flagged as having 'potentially bad' tweets, so it gets hidden; it's not that the tweet itself does. At least from how I understand it, anyways.
They need to give us an option to disable this filter. I have my own moral compass. I don't need Twitter to coddle me and shield me from seeing words that I don't like.
