    Reflecting on the amazing attorney moms from who worked HARD to stand in solidarity with refugees. They waited over nine hours at the Port Of Entry with an unaccompanied refugee child only to be turned away. Thanks for sharing in the joy and frustration of our work

    We constantly see BP and ICE throw away people's medications for things like diabetes or HIV, then needlessly, carelessly delay exams and new prescriptions for weeks. It's why people have died entirely preventable deaths in detention for years.

    For years, we've seen batches of kids come out of detention and the BP 'hieleras' with coughs, red eye, rashes, chapped lips, and diarrhea. And occasionally worse. It was only a matter of time, and it's likely many more have suffered serious health effects

    This is correct - the attorney connected to the child’s family said that the child was detained at Dilley, became ill and died after release.

    Currently there are HUNDREDS of fathers detained w/ their sons at Karnes waiting in limbo as the adminstration figures out what to do. Many were tricked into signing deportation agreements and fear being sent home to the unrest in their home countries.
